Executorships & Administration of Estates
The attorneys of the Firm are regularly appointed as executors in testamentary provisions. In this capacity we monitor the relations with the Swiss Probate Courts for the notification to the heirs, the administration and safekeeping of the estate as well as the partition of the estate in conformity with the instructions of the testator.
We also frequently advise the heirs on matters pertaining to the administration of the estate, including among other areas:
- handling filings with the tax and probate authorities;
- making inventories of the assets and liabilities of the decedent; and
- notifying and collecting assets held by third parties or advising third party beneficiaries.
