Laurent Kyd graduated from the University of Geneva Law School in 1991 and was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1993. After having worked for a law firm in Zurich, he joined Borel & Barbey  in 1996 where he mainly advises private clients.

Laurent Kyd practices primarily in the area of Swiss and international tax (estate and tax planning for individuals, real estate tax, as well as relocation to Switzerland of individuals and corporations). He advises and represents private cilents and corporations, both in the negotiation process with the tax authorities and in tax litigation. He is also active in the areas of trusts and estate law.
