Patrick Blaser obtained his Law degree at the University of Geneva Law School in 1976 and then his Advanced Legal Studies Diploma in Banking Law and Real Property Law in 1979. From 1979 to 1980, Patrick Blaser was the Assistant of Pr. Martin-Achard at the University of Geneva Law Faculty in the field of intellectual property. Having passed his Geneva bar exam in 1979, Patrick Blaser was Former Deputy Public Prosecutor (1981-1983), Investigating Magistrate (1983-1986) and then Judge of the District Court of Geneva and President of the Criminal Accusation Chamber (1986-1993). Since 1994, Patrick Blaser has been practising as a partner of Borel & Barbey and also as a Surrogate Judge at the Geneva Court of Justice, at the Court of Appeal of the Prud'hommes jurisdiction and the Criminal Accusation Chamber of Geneva. Patrick Blaser is also a member of the Arbitral Tribunal dealing with real estate and building matters, the Arbitral Tribunal dealing with real-estate economy and the Association for arbitration dealing with commercial tenancy matters. Patrick Blaser is a member of the Geneva Bar Association, the Swiss Lawyers Federation, the Geneva Association of Commercial Law (AGDA) as well as the European Association of Banking and Financial Law (AEDBF). Patrick Blaser is also a member of the Lions Club, Geneva which he presided in 1997 and 1998 and of the Cobaty-Geneva. Patrick Blaser was also a Captain of Artillery and subsequently a Colonel in the Military Justice. He was President of the Swiss Military District Court 2 (1998-2002) and the Swiss Military Court of Appeal 1 (2003-2006). As legal editor, Patrick Blaser has notably published several articles on Banking and Real Property Law.
